~Our love story~

I met Derek while we worked together in Dallas at a bar. I was bartending and he was my barback. Once we met he was instantly asking me out but I refused to date someone I worked with. After quite a while of hanging out with all the same friends and hearing them all suggest we go out I said yes to a date and we have been together ever since. We have been together for 6 years now and are more in love with every day that passes. He is truly my best friend and I couldn't see a day in my life without him being there. Long story short he is the peanut butter to my jelly! After dating for a while Derek popped the question on Valentines Day. Might I add prior to this I absolutely HATED Valentines Day. He took me out to breakfast at a little hole in the wall place we love to eat. He excused himself from the table for a moment and when he returned he had flowers, balloons, chocolates, a poem he wrote for me, and a ring. He read the poem and got to the last line dropped to one knee and pulled out the ring. I naturally said yes and cried like a total girl. We are now proud parents and have put off the wedding until now!
